چکیده

The regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) of human immature permanent tooth with apical periodontitis using platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) has shown successful results in incisor. The purpose of this case series is to report four cases of the management of dens evaginatus in immature mandibular second premolars with apical periodontitis using PRF in regenerative endodontics. Four dens evaginatus with immature teeth with apical periodontitis were treated via RET using PRF as a scaffold. During the follow-up period, all teeth showed a resolution of periapical radiolucencies, and three teeth showed continuous root development and apical closure. Two teeth displayed a positive response to pulp sensibility tests. On the basis of the short-term results of the present case series, we can conclude that RET is an ideal treatment method for dens evaginatus with an immature permanent tooth with apical periodontitis. In addition, PRF is a potentially ideal scaffold material for RET, and the operation is easier with less risk. Therefore, PRF is recommended for use in DE or other cases in which it is difficult to induce bleeding.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to present a case of regenerative endodontic procedure. Case The maxillary 1st premolar of a 9-year-old patient was diagnosed as necrotic. Since the tooth was immature, we decided to treat this tooth with regenerative endodontic procedure. After disinfection of the canal, bleeding was induced by lacerating the peri-apical tissues ...

Histologic and Immunohistochemical Findings of a Human Immature Permanent Tooth with Apical Periodontitis after Regenerative Endodontic Treatment.

Specimens of human immature permanent teeth after regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) are sparse. This case report describes the histologic and immunohistochemical findings of tissue formed in the canal space of a human immature permanent tooth with apical periodontitis after RET. A patient presenting with immature human permanent tooth #29 with apical periodontitis underwent RET. At the 10...

Introduction: The healing process after surgery is a challenging issue for surgeons. Various materials and techniques have been developed to facilitate this process and reduce its period. Fibrin adhesives are often used in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery to seal diffuse microvascular bleeding and in general and plastic surgery to seal wound borders. This Case report and literature review ...

Platelet-Rich Fibrin to Induce Apical Closure in an Immature Multi-Rooted Permanent Tooth with Necrotic Pulp: A Case Report

Regenerative endodontic procedures are the emerging techniques for the restoration of functional pulp and dentine. The case report presented here describes the management of a symptomatic mandibular first molar with an immature apex and necrotic pulp in a 9 year old child. The tooth was tender on percussion and palpation and elicited a negative response to sensibility testing. A regenerative en...

Dens Evaginatus: A Problem-Based Approach

Dens evaginatus is an uncommon developmental anomaly of human dentition characterized by the presence of tubercle on the occlusal surface of mandibular premolars and lingual surface of anterior teeth. Due to occlusal trauma this tubercle tends to fracture thus exposing the pathway to the pulp chamber of teeth. This case report is about the presentation of dens evaginatus in mandibular premolars...
